Site And Pack RULES and GUIDELINES
* Mood
Here on Forest Spirits, we try to make a fun, awesome environment for you guys to play your wolves in.
Try very hard to not be violent or inappropriate to a point where some might feel uncomfortable. Remember, some users on the site might not be as old as you! If you violate that rule more than three times, you will be banned from the game for a period of time I see fit based on your actions.
We know that the point of this site is to have an active wild wolf roleplay, but just because you're wild here doesn't mean you don't follow rules.
* Wolves
To create a wolf, go to the "Create A Wolf" board and follow the instructions. Your wolf's name can be different than your username.
You can only have up to two wolves that are high ranks at the same time, and they cannot be in the same pack.
All wolves die at about age forty in game time. But if you like it or not, they will more likely be killed earlier than that.
You can attack and try to kill other wolves, but they cannot be in your pack unless they pose a serious and deadly threat. You can also attack rogues and other wolves who are not in your pack, but invading your territory. Remember, any wolf has the option to fight back, and the option to give in. According to the laws of the packs, you must also attack any wolf one of your alphas commands, however close you are to them.
If your wolf dies, you can make another wolf or use the same one but start off back as a puppy. You can also use one of your other wolves, or buy a rogue if you have enough Acorns.
You can only have one wolf at a time. On one account there is no limit to how many characters you can create, as long as only up to six are alive and active at the same time. You can also go to the adoption board and adopt a wolf, or buy a rogue wolf at the store if you have enough Acorns.
* Posting
You post to make yourself age and rank higher faster.
Once you create your wolf and it has been approved, you can go to the pack you have chosen to be a member of's board and start playing by posting threads on the "Roleplay" sub-board.
Each post must be at least six sentences long, it is not worth posting a new thread if you only have a few words in it.
Please use spell check. I will let words like "im" or "U" slip sometimes, but only for the general discussion and the Shout box, not the game itself.
Please write in third person unless your wolf is speaking; this is a very strict rule and will be enforced.
No posting in any of the pack boards until your wolf has been approved.
You can't post on other packs boards besides the one you joined unless you are invited by the Pack Alpha (which is very rare), or you wish to leave your pack, which must be approved by me. You cannot go on the rogue boards period if you don't have a rogue.
* Inactive Accounts
Please post on the inactive board if you are going to be offline for more than two weeks. If I find your explanation reasonable, then you have nothing to fear. But if you are gone for more than two weeks and don't tell me, then I will send out a reminder email and soon after delete your account. You can rejoin, though.
* Character Names And Display Names And Wolf Names
Please no inappropriate language or swear words as any of your names.
* Signatures And Pictures
Please do not use any huge pictures, because some of us have slow computers and this will add about one to five minutes on to page loading.
Your signature is for listing your wolves and their ranks. For example:
"Kiba - Beta Female of the Cs'Ranthum Pack"
* Ranks
Ranks are basically the different levels of command in a pack you can be in, which does not really apply to rogues. For instance, the pack alphas (leaders), the two highest, or the omegas, the lowest.
You get a new rank every time a wolf ranking above you retires or dies. You can claim your rank by posting what you want on the "Ranks And Duties" board at the beginning of your wolf's life, and I will see what I can do. Read more about what the different ranks and duties are in the "Ranks And Duties" board.
You can challenge a wolf ranking above you to a fight so you can move up in rank, but remember you are also at risk.
You get a higher site ranking displayed in your mini profile every time you reach a certain number of posts, and if you have enough posts and you have earned my trust, I will rank you as a staff member! (Since the site is fairly new, please request to be a moderator if you would like to be one. I cannot accept ALL offers, though.)
* Packs
To prove you are worth the space you take up in your pack, you must perform the duties you are given with accuracy and do it right.
Here are the main RULES of all the packs:
1. Obey the pack alpha if it means you or a loved one's life
2. Obey all others who are ranked above you, if the order is with the alpha's permission.
3. If you are a puppy, take advantage of it! Any wolf under the age of nine months is safer from harm than any other wolves, because they are under their pupsitter/mother's guard.
* Breeding And Birthing
You can only breed in the breeding season, which is September, October and November. You can only give birth in the birthing season, June July and August.
You can have a mate and puppies, just go the "Roleplay Requests" board and follow the instructions.
You can only claim a wolf as your mate if he/she is: no more than a year above or below your age, of the same pack, at least two years and six months old, of the same pack rank and you and your mate have both the alpha's approval.
The alphas can claim any wolf in the pack but a puppy or one of the same gender, and they may allow the pack betas to do the same. All other ranks must have permission by the alpha to mate and they can only claim a wolf of the same rank unless there is special permission.
* Elements
The wolves of Forest Spirits can look any way you want, but make sure that you have a picture to attach to the thread that looks like your wolf. If you can't find one, then request one in the "Graphics Request" Board.
The elements are elements you can choose your wolf to specialize in. For instance, a few of them are water, which gives your wolf powers that correspond with water, fire, which gives your wolf the power to turn their paws into fire without hurting themselves, and spirit, which gives your wolf the power to glow in darkness, make small plants glow, and walk through objects while holding their breath. There are also others, all of which have their own upsides and downsides .
You can choose one element for each of your wolves, and the element does not have to correspond with the wolf's appearance, though it is a popular option.
* The Adoption Board
On the adoption board, you can Put a wolf you have up for adoption, or adopt a wolf if you don't have one yet. Also, this is where a staff member will post an announcement if you are having puppies, so that other users can take the role of one of your puppies. Do this and find more info on the "Adoption" board.
* Time
Game time is the same as real life time, but in the wolf world, one of our months is one of their years.
Some things in the game take time, like waiting for puppy birth or for a wolf of the opposite gender to fall for you. Just know that you have quite a while still on the game, and there will always be things to do!
If you have any more questions, please post them on the "FAQ" board.
THANKS!
